Formula E is set to make its highly anticipated return to Miami on April 12th at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The new 3.551km (2.206-mile) layout features 15 high-speed turns and three long straights, meticulously designed to enhance the unique challenges of Formula E’s GEN3 Evo racing

Located just south of central Miami, this vibrant and dynamic city on Florida’s southeastern coast is a melting pot of cultures. Known for its stunning beaches, lively nightlife, and iconic art deco architecture, Miami serves as a major hub for finance, commerce, and international trade, attracting visitors from around the globe.

Championship leader Oliver Rowland of the Nissan Formula E Team, currently holding 68 points, aims to extend his lead after a stellar performance in Jeddah. He secured a victory in the second race of the doubleheader, putting him in a strong position to continue his winning streak.

Taylor Barnard of NEOM McLaren Formula E Team is also a formidable contender, determined to convert his podium finishes into a race win and become the youngest ever Formula E race winner.

In February, Max Günther also secured a victory in the Jeddah doubleheader, propelling DS PENSKE’s newest recruit to fourth place in the Drivers’ World Championship standings. He’s now just behind António Félix da Costa of TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team in third.

The Miami E-Prix will start at 14:05 local time on Saturday, April 12th.

In addition to the thrilling race action, Formula E is introducing the FIA President’s Medal, a sustainable symbol of victory. This prestigious award will be presented to race winners in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, FIA World Endurance Championship, and FIA World Rally Championship, starting with the 2025 Miami E-Prix.

Each race winner will receive a unique piece of silverware, designed to celebrate their achievements and serve as a personal memento of their hard-fought victory. This initiative, spearheaded by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, allows champions to cherish their triumph and symbolise their dedication and skill.

The FIA President’s Medal, a symbol of sporting excellence, also reflects Formula E and the FIA’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. Collaborating with Milan-based Libe Incisioni, these medals are meticulously crafted using entirely recycled materials, showcasing a circular production cycle. Libe Incisioni employs a remarkable process that transforms metal waste into high-quality resources, ensuring sustainability is seamlessly integrated from the design phase to the final product.

As Formula E solidifies its position as the world’s most sustainable sport, it continues to prioritise community and environmental well-being as part of its broader mission to accelerate sustainable human progress.
