The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to London this weekend for its final event of Season 11. Two titles are still undecided. One team is preparing to say goodbye. And for the first time, the race is getting a full superhero crossover.

The season finale takes place at the ExCeL London Circuit. Rounds 15 and 16 will decide both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ Championships. Formula E has partnered with Marvel Studios for the event, officially renamed the 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix.

Teams’ and Manufacturers’ titles still up for grabs

Oliver Rowland has already won the Drivers’ title. But his team, Nissan, still has work to do. They trail TAG Heuer Porsche in the Teams’ standings, 205 to 228 points.

Porsche’s success has come from a steady season. Pascal Wehrlein and António Félix da Costa have shared nine podiums and a win. Rowland has scored almost all of Nissan’s points this year — 184 out of 205. His teammate, Norman Nato, returns this weekend and will be key if Nissan hopes to win.

Porsche also leads the Manufacturers’ Championship, helped by its customer teams Andretti and CUPRA KIRO. Nissan is supported by NEOM McLaren, who are racing for the last time.

What is PIT BOOST?

For the first time, Formula E will use PIT BOOST. Every driver must take a 30-second, 600kW pit stop during the race. But it can only be done when their battery is between 40% and 60% charged.

That means strategy will play a huge role. Teams must manage energy use and track position to hit the right moment. Get it wrong, and the race could fall apart.

Attack Mode will also stay in play at Turn 16, adding even more to the mix.

McLaren’s final Formula E race

NEOM McLaren will leave the series after this weekend. Since taking over from Mercedes in 2022, the team has claimed eight podiums and a win.

This year, Taylor Barnard has been a breakout star. He’s earned five podiums and two poles. Sam Bird, who delivered the team’s first win, returns for one final appearance.

To mark the occasion, McLaren will debut a special blue livery, created with Oxagon, part of the NEOM project. It’s a final home race and a final farewell.

The London layout: A circuit like no other

The ExCeL London Circuit is one of the most unique in motorsport. It runs through the inside and outside of the exhibition centre. Drivers start indoors on smooth concrete, then race outside onto metal and rough tarmac, before returning indoors to complete the lap.

The 2.08km circuit includes 20 corners. It changes surface, light, and grip with every section. Rain often adds to the challenge. It’s tight, unpredictable, and perfect for a title-deciding race.

Marvel brings superheroes to the circuit

To promote the new film The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Formula E and Marvel have teamed up for the finale. The race will feature themed signage, a Fantastic Four Attack Mode, and other superhero elements across the venue.

It’s the biggest entertainment crossover Formula E has ever done, and it’s designed to bring new fans into the sport.

Fan Village, live music, and more

The Fan Village will be open all weekend, with racing simulators, interactive games, and plenty of food and drink.

  • Pixie Lott performs live on Saturday
  • Rizzle Kicks close the show on Sunday
  • Families can enjoy face painting, bubbles, and kids’ activities

Tickets are still available at eventim.co.uk for both days.
