Safety Car From the Start
Tsolov came into Saturday on the back of Feature Race 1, where a slow stop dropped him to P19 before the Turn 3 incident ended his race and handed the championship lead to Câmara by a single point. He lined up eleventh for Feature Race 2.
Stenshorne kept the lead from pole at the start, Dunne second and Câmara third. The Safety Car was out almost immediately. John Bennett was tagged into a spin and retired without completing a lap.
Racing resumed on Lap 3. Stenshorne made a strong restart. Dunne was slower away and Câmara tried the outside at Turn 1, but Dunne held him off with Noel León watching from behind. Tsolov passed Ritomo Miyata at Turn 3 to get back to P11, where he started.
Two VSCs Reshape the Order
Dunne set the fastest lap of the race so far and by Lap 5 was half a second behind Stenshorne with DRS. Rodin brought him in at the start of Lap 7. Just after, Miyata stopped on track and the Virtual Safety Car was called. Kush Maini, Dino Beganovic, Sebastián Montoya and Roman Bilinski had all taken their mandatory stops before it.
Green again, Stenshorne led Câmara by 1.2 seconds. Then Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak stopped at Turn 16. Stenshorne, León and Mari Boya pitted, and the second VSC came out just after they rejoined. Dunne jumped his team mate for the effective lead.
Back to green flag running on Lap 11, and Câmara, Tsolov and Laurens van Hoepen took their stops. All three gained time on their rivals. Câmara came out in the lead, Dunne second, van Hoepen fifth and Tsolov sixth.
Dunne’s tyres were up to temperature first. He used DRS to pass Câmara into Turn 1. Behind them, Tsolov passed van Hoepen for fifth down the main straight. Then the stewards gave Dunne a five second penalty for crossing the line at pit entry.
Tsolov Closes on the Leaders
Up to fourth, Tsolov set the fastest lap, a 1:55.715 on Lap 14, and started closing on the top three. Dunne tried to build a gap and was 1.2 seconds clear of Câmara by the end of Lap 16. Câmara and Tsolov matched his pace. Tsolov was in DRS range of Stenshorne in third.
He was within half a second on Lap 20. Stenshorne braked later into Turn 1 to hold the place. It didn’t last. Tsolov used DRS down the main straight and went through to third.
Câmara got back to within 0.9 seconds of Dunne on Lap 24. Tsolov was over six tenths a lap quicker than both of them.
Radio Calls and a Penalty
Invicta had earlier told Câmara they were happy for him to stay behind Dunne. With Tsolov coming, that changed. The call went out to try and pass Dunne and defend from Tsolov. Campos told Tsolov what Invicta were planning, and he started pushing to get within DRS.
He told the team he’d touched the wall but the car was fine. By Lap 27 he was in DRS range of Câmara. The top three started the final lap covered by under two seconds.
Dunne held on to take the chequered flag first. The penalty dropped him to third, 4.310 seconds back. Câmara was promoted to the win, his third of the season, with Tsolov 0.747 seconds behind in second.
“Not the way we wanted P1 but overall it was a good race, good points for the championship and very happy with this weekend overall.”
Rafael Câmara – Invicta Racing, F2 Baku Feature Race 2 2026
Stenshorne finished fourth from pole, van Hoepen fifth. Boya took sixth after passing Maini at Turn 1, Beganovic seventh after his own move on the ART driver. León was eighth, Gabriele Minì ninth and Bilinski took the final point in tenth. Montoya set the fastest lap overall on the last lap, a 1:55.494, but finished seventeenth, so the point went to Tsolov. Rafael Villagómez retired after 16 laps, having also picked up a five second penalty for speeding in the pit lane.

Coffee Corner Take
Tsolov started eleventh. If he’d finished there, Câmara would have left Baku 26 points clear. He finished second and took the fastest lap point, and the gap is seven.
Friday went wrong for him. Slow stop, back out in P19, then out of the race at Turn 3. Saturday he pitted on Lap 11, came out sixth and passed van Hoepen and Stenshorne. He was over six tenths a lap quicker than Câmara and Dunne, touched the wall, and was in DRS range of Câmara by Lap 27. He lost the lead on Friday. He leaves Baku seven points behind with two rounds to go.
Câmara won a race he didn’t win on the road. He’ll take it. Invicta were happy for him to sit behind Dunne until Tsolov turned up in the mirrors, then the call changed to attack. Seven points going into Lusail.
And Dunne. Take away the pit entry penalty and he wins, Câmara is second and Tsolov third. That’s Câmara on 200, Dunne 199, Tsolov 197. Three drivers inside three points. One white line turned that into seven and eighteen.
Now two months of nothing. Lusail on 27 to 29 November, Yas Marina the week after, a Sprint and a Feature Race at each. Dunne crossed the line first in both Baku Feature Races. Eighteen back and he’s still in this.
