Nick Cassidy claimed victory in Round 15 of the 2025 Marvel Fantastic Four London E-Prix, powering from fifth on the grid to take a dramatic win on home soil for Jaguar TCS Racing. It was a strategic masterclass from the Kiwi, who repelled an early ATTACK MODE from Nyck de Vries and timed his PIT BOOST to perfection.
The result marked Jaguar’s third consecutive win — only the fifth team in Formula E history to achieve that — and gave Cassidy back-to-back victories after his triumph in Berlin. It was also a fitting send-off for team boss James Barclay, who will depart after this weekend following a decade leading Jaguar’s return to top-level motorsport.
De Vries returns to the podium. Wehrlein grabs key points.
Mahindra’s Nyck de Vries delivered a season-best result with second place, his first podium since returning to the series full-time. The Dutchman held the lead after a strong PIT BOOST phase but was unable to hold back Cassidy on Lap 27, as the Jaguar driver surged back into first at the final corner.
Pascal Wehrlein brought his Porsche home in third after starting there, securing the fastest lap of the race and extending Porsche’s lead in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings. With just one race left, the team from Stuttgart now holds a 39-point advantage over Nissan in the Teams’ table and leads 367 to 338 in the FIA Manufacturers’ classification.
Behind the top three, Maserati’s Stoffel Vandoorne crossed the line in fourth, followed by Jake Dennis in fifth and Jean-Éric Vergne in sixth. Newly crowned world champion Oliver Rowland could only manage eleventh.
Championship implications
Cassidy’s win vaults him to third in the Drivers’ Championship. Although Rowland sealed the title in Shanghai, the battle for second remains alive heading into Sunday’s finale, with Wehrlein currently ahead of Cassidy by just a handful of points.
In the Teams’ standings, Porsche’s consistent form continues to pay off. While Nissan still has a mathematical shot at the title, the German outfit would need a major upset to lose their grip now. The same is true in the FIA Manufacturers’ standings, where Porsche once again hold the upper hand.
Driver reaction
Nick Cassidy, Jaguar TCS Racing:
“It’s unbelievable. To win here at home for Jaguar in front of so many friends, family and partners is just incredible. This morning I wasn’t the happiest, but I knew we had potential. I was really worried about coming out ahead after PIT BOOST, and that ended up making the difference. Once we got through that phase, we could time the ATTACK MODES perfectly.”
Nyck de Vries, Mahindra Racing:
“We’re happy to be back on the podium. In Jakarta we had a good shot but couldn’t bring it home, so this one means a lot. Thanks to the whole team for giving me a great car today. We executed well, and it’s great to bring this result back to the garage.”
Pascal Wehrlein, TAG Heuer Porsche:
“I always want to win, so of course I would have liked more. But we scored important points and the fastest lap, which helps us massively in the title fight. One more race to go, and we’ll be doing everything we can to finish the job.”
One round left. One shot to make it count.
