Austin’s looking loud this weekend. Six teams. Six one-off liveries. Each one carrying its own story and strategy. From McLaren’s iridescent Gemini design to Haas’ Stars and Stripes and Williams’ nostalgic 2002 throwback, the grid’s turned into a rolling art show. But none are quite as bold as the black and amber shell now sitting under the Texas sun. Visa Cash App Racing Bulls’ new Tortoise Card livery is the standout.

Key Points

  • Visa Cash App Racing Bulls reveal new black and amber Tortoise Card livery for Austin.
  • Campaign launched with Cash App and artist Shaboozey celebrating music and culture.
  • Aston Martin unveil See the Science design, highlighting F1’s engineering heart.
  • McLaren, Haas, Alpine and Williams also debut special U.S. Grand Prix liveries.

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls: the tortoise and the bold

There’s no mistaking it. Visa Cash App Racing Bulls have gone all in for Austin.

The VCARB 02 arrives in a pearlescent tortoise-shell design inspired by the Cash App Tortoise Card, a fully customisable Visa debit card that puts customers in control of their finances. This isn’t a simple paint job. It’s a visual manifesto for how the team sees itself: part racing outfit, part culture brand.

The reveal landed with a full campaign launch from Cash App, directed by Alex Russell and featuring multi-platinum artist Shaboozey alongside comedian Caleb Pressley. Set in a retro diner, the short film captures the pair exchanging dry humour before Shaboozey pays the bill with his Tortoise Card – a nod to Cash App’s effortless style and the team’s creative edge.

The tortoise pattern runs deeper than the bodywork. It’s across race suits, team kit, and garage visuals, turning every corner of the VCARB operation into an extension of the collaboration. The limited-edition replica kit is already on sale via the Red Bull Shop, while the Tortoise Card itself is available for $5 through the Cash App app in the U.S.

For Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, these aren’t one-off marketing plays. They’re cultural markers, a way to show that performance and personality can share the same space.

Aston Martin join the trend

If Visa Cash App Racing Bulls brought the art, Aston Martin brought the science.

The team’s Austin livery debuts under the banner “See the Science”, a campaign built to celebrate the engineering heart of Formula One and the curiosity that fuels it.

Aston Martin describe it as “a window into the world of the most technologically advanced sport on Earth.” The initiative invites fans to look beyond the surface of the AMR24 and explore the aerodynamic principles, data, and materials that make the car what it is.

They’ve woven the idea through every detail of the design. The deep metallic green finish reflects light like a cross-section of carbon fibre. Subtle copper edges hint at the heat and pressure that power the combustion process. Every visual connects fans with the physics behind the speed.

The team’s statement puts it best:

It’s not just a look. It’s an open invitation to understand why Formula One works and why that understanding is still “undeniably cool.”

The showground effect

Austin has become Formula One’s creative playground. Every October, the city turns the race into a marketing stage where partnerships come alive, new merch drops, and teams blur the lines between racing and storytelling.

Visa Cash App Racing Bulls have mastered that balance. Their Tortoise Card livery isn’t just design, it’s identity. The team has built a clear niche as the one pushing F1’s cultural boundaries further than most.

They’re not alone in the spotlight either.

Williams: 2002 throwback with Atlassian

Williams’ FW47 will run in a 2002-inspired throwback livery created in partnership with Atlassian, celebrating teamwork, innovation, and resilience.
In their announcement, the team said the design reflects how both Williams and Atlassian have grown through relentless change since 2002, harnessing collaboration to keep moving forward.

Unveiled by Carlos Sainz alongside Atlassian Co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes and former Williams driver Juan Pablo Montoya, the special look honours shared values and a commitment to the next era of performance.

Cannon-Brookes described it as “a celebration of two teams built on big ideas and relentless teamwork,” while Montoya called the retro livery “a great way to showcase the partnership and the team’s ambition to return to the top step.”

Sainz added, “The FW47 looks incredible in this 2002 retro livery. It’s a fan favourite already, and it represents how far we’ve come together.”

Alpine: Mercado Libre ‘Unidos por la Velocidad’ livery

Alpine have rounded off the Austin livery rollout with a bright new collaboration. The A525 now wears Mercado Libre’s signature yellow, launching a three-race campaign that will continue through Mexico City and São Paulo.

The design forms part of “Unidos por la Velocidad” — United by Speed — a project built around the shared values of innovation, teamwork, and Latin American pride. The campaign film brings together Franco Colapinto and Neymar Jr, mixing Formula One with the delivery fleet speed of Mercado Libre in a light-hearted celebration of pace and personality.

It is also a statement of intent. Alpine’s marketing team say the partnership reflects a broader push to connect with new audiences across the Americas, while Mercado Libre see it as a way to bring regional culture to the global stage. The A525’s yellow highlights will appear across all three rounds, supported by fan activations in Argentina, Mexico, and Brazil.

A fresh look, built for colour and connection.

The American connection

The United States has become one of Formula One’s most valuable markets. With Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas now anchoring the calendar, the U.S. rounds perfectly support activations both on and off track.

For teams, it’s a rare opportunity to tap directly into a booming fan base and a wave of new American partners eager to align with the sport’s global reach.

From tech firms to fintech giants, the commercial pull of the U.S. has turned these races into more than just grands prix – they’re now marketing showcases for F1’s future.
