Revolut is officially in Formula 1. The global fintech brand will become the title sponsor of Audi’s factory team from 2026, locking in a major piece of the grid’s newest works entry.
This isn’t just a logo deal. The partnership runs deep. Revolut Business will power the team’s financial operations, while fans get seamless checkout for merch and more direct engagement with Audi F1 through Revolut’s platform.
Not Just a Sponsor
Audi says it’s building its F1 team from the ground up. That includes its financial tools. Revolut’s systems will be built into the team’s backend, handling payments, transactions, and digital integration. It also opens the door to perks for fans already using Revolut – especially around race weekends.
CEO Nik Storonsky made the aim clear. “We’re accelerating towards 100 million customers. We’ll bring them into Formula 1 with unforgettable experiences.”
Audi’s F1 Mission
For Audi, the partnership is about aligning with companies that match their mindset. CEO Gernot Döllner described Formula 1 as a “technologically relevant and economically sustainable investment.”
Audi wants reach, relevance, and a team that reflects the wider group’s shift toward electrification and software-led design. Revolut fits that push.
Behind the scenes, the project is split across three countries: Neuburg for the power unit, Hinwil for the chassis and race ops, and a new base in Bicester for UK technical support and talent recruitment.
All Eyes on 2026
The 2026 regulations are a reset. Hybrid units will shift to 50% electric power, sustainable fuels are coming in, and the cost cap will remain in place. That’s the window Audi has chosen to make its debut.
With Sauber’s infrastructure already in place and the power unit project deep into development, the team is building a full factory outfit that should be competitive from day one.
F1 pulled in 1.6 billion TV viewers in 2024. For a brand like Audi, it’s a global shop window. For Revolut, it’s an entry point into sport’s biggest growth channel.
What It Means for Fans
Audi and Revolut both talk a lot about disrupting the status quo. That could show up in the way fans experience the team. Expect digital-first engagement, exclusive perks for Revolut users, and more flexible access to content, merch, and events.
Team Principal Jonathan Wheatley called it “a strategic alliance engineered to challenge conventions.”
With Revolut now locked in, Audi has its first major commercial partner – and a clear signal that it’s not just showing up in F1 to make up the numbers.
