All eyes are now focused on London and the launch of the Formula 1 season as we gear up for F1 75 Live which will take place at London’s The O2 on February 18, with the two-hour show kicking off at 2000 GMT.
The event which will mark the launch of the sport’s 75th anniversary will, for the 1st time ever in the history of the sport, bring together all ten teams, their drivers, and Team Principals, plus top entertainment as all the teams will reveal their 2025 liveries to a sell-out crowd.
As well as this, there will also be interviews with key figures from the sport as well as special guest presenters and top entertainment in what promises to be an unforgettable night.
For those fans who are unable to be there in person, there will still be the opportunity to be a part of the event as Formula 1 broadcasters from around the globe have confirmed they will televise the event live. It will also be streamed for free on F1’s social media channels, including YouTube.
Each team will get their moment during the course of the evening as they reveal their respective 2025 liveries and driver line-ups, with each being given creative licence to make their livery unveil truly unique with each team given 7 minutes to use as they wish.
There will also be red carpet arrivals from drivers, team principals, and celebrities plus plenty of extra entertainment in store, with the show being brought to life by BrianBurkeCreative and the world-renowned team that created the opening and closing ceremonies for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023.
The launch, however, will not see the 2025 cars on show just the liveries as the teams are still finalising the cars ahead of pre-season testing which in 2025 will take place across three days at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 26-28, before the teams turn their attention to the opening race of the season which this year will be the Australian Grand Prix on the weekend of March 14-16.
Some of the teams have already held a car launch to show their 2025 cars with Mclaren, Williams and Haas opting to hit the track in special liveries ahead of the trip to pre season testing whilst Ferrari’s event will take place at their Fiorano test track in Maranello on February 19, and Mercedes are set to reveal the W16 on February 24.
Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1, said:
“For the first time we will bring together our fans, all 20 superstars of our sport and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season and mark our 75th year of racing. With 2025 set to be a classic season following all the drama so far in 2024, this is a fantastic opportunity for fans of all ages to experience up-close the incredible entertainment spectacle that is Formula 1.”
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, said:
“The FIA is delighted to join our colleagues at FOM and all the teams in the staging of the inaugural Formula 1 season launch event. The occasion will also serve as a fitting prelude to a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the sport throughout the 2025 season.”
